Hannah joined our team as a Law Clerk in 2014 and has been with us ever since, progressing quickly through the firm into her current role as an Associate.
Hannah is warm, approachable and has a very kind heart – probably the reason she’s so well-liked by her clients and colleagues.
Our clients value her ability to communicate in plain English and ‘just get things done’.
Hannah is a firm believer in the importance of good team camaraderie. She’s always keen to pitch in with organising the next team event and shows up to every event with bells on.
We recently sat down with Hannah for a Q&A, so you can get to know her a bit better.
1. WHAT DOES A TYPICAL WEEKEND LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?
My weekends are pretty relaxed. Usually, you can find me going for a walk with my partner Ben, getting a coffee or spending time with friends and family.
2. ARE YOU A DOG PERSON OR A CAT PERSON?
I love both cats and dogs (and all animals really), but I currently have a gorgeous cat called Possum, who I adore – so I would have to say I’m a cat person at the moment.
3. WHERE WAS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE HOLIDAY?
Ben and I travelled around Europe and the UK for three months in 2019, which was incredible. We loved every day, but some of our highlights were; driving around Sicily in our rented Fiat 500, getting engaged in Rome, wine tasting in the South of France and travelling through Central Europe with my parents and sister.
4. IF YOU COULD TRAVEL TO ONE COUNTRY THIS YEAR, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
My sister is getting married in the UK this year, so Ben and I have a trip planned to the UK in July with my parents for the wedding. We’re also heading to Belgium after the wedding to go to the F1 Belgium Grand Prix and will hopefully find some time to go back to Italy as well, which is one of my favourite countries.
5. WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE NZ HOLIDAY SPOT?
My family bach is in Tairua, so definitely there! However, the Coromandel area as a whole is pretty amazing.
6. WHAT’S THE BEST BOOK YOU’VE EVER READ?
I am a huge reader and always have a book on the go, so it’s too hard to choose just one! I mainly read thrillers and mystery books and I am currently reading ‘And Then There Were None’ by Agatha Christie, which I can’t believe I haven’t read before.
7. YOU’RE HAPPIEST WHEN…
I’m reading a really good book.
8. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?
I was a waitress at the café down the road from my parent’s house in Cambridge.
9. WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN GROWING UP?
I was steadfast in my dream to be a vet when I was growing up but unfortunately my lack of science and maths skills let me down.
10. WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT ARMSTRONG MURRAY?
The people. Armstrong Murray is such a special place to work and every person here contributes to that. I am lucky enough to have met some of my best friends and favourite people in this office.
