Abbie Featherstone

Abbie Featherstone, who has more than 10 years of experience as a solicitor, is known throughout the local community for her expertise in property law, predominately specialising in subdivisions, residential and commercial conveyancing and turnkey agreements.

Abbie, who grew up on the North Shore, completed a Bachelor of Laws at Victoria University. After graduating in 2010, she returned home to Auckland to complete her professional legal studies, was admitted to the bar at the Auckland High Court and began practising as a solicitor.

In her previous role at another Takapuna law firm, Abbie developed her property skills and knowledge under a mentorship. Over the course of seven years, she transitioned from junior lawyer to 2IC of the property team, mentoring other junior lawyers wishing to pursue a career in property law.

Abbie joined Armstrong Murray as a senior solicitor in 2020 and became an associate six months later. Her quick succession at the firm is a credit to her talent and depth of knowledge.

Abbie’s clients like working with her because she explains things in plain English whilst providing in-depth advice. She enjoys making each property transaction simple and effortless for her clients, always ensuring they understand what’s happening through transparent communication and a clear, concise process. Abbie prides herself on being a ‘people person’.

Abbie’s other areas of law include estate planning (wills and EPOAs), commercial leasing and refinancing.

Abbie is a member of the New Zealand Law Society (Property Law Section).

Abbie enjoys working in a supportive, inclusive team at Armstrong Murray. She believes the firm has a strong reputation because it holds core values that are not just written on paper – the values are evident to employees and clients alike.
